Mt. Harmon

The View from Hadassah Hospital in Ein Kerem

20 years ago, my parents went on a sabbatical and stayed in an apartment complex just below this point.  I went to visit them then and the first morning I arrived, jet lagged out of my skull, I came up here and admired the view (I ought to find the old pictures to compare and contrast).

I am going to assemble these pictures into a single picture somehow.





Here it is. As it turns out, I think I bumped the zoom control on this sequence. Also, the automatic exposure controls mean that the sky color is discontinuous. I should have used a camera which could have disabled those controls. I guess I have to go back...
The difference between these two views is that the upper view is constrained in width to 1200 pixels and so is 192 pixels high.  The image below is the exact same image, but it is unconstrained.  Note that the difference is controlled by your browser.
